Digital team
A volunteer role in the Digital team: you report to the Head of Digital and Team Tools. A confidentiality commitment, signed when you join, governs your access to personal data.
Assignments
- Develop YouthShare’s Google Workspace administration tool, written in Node.js: accounts, groups, shared drives, Chat spaces, Classroom courses
- Work with the Admin SDK and the Drive, Groups, Chat, Forms, Classroom, Sheets and Slides APIs in a test environment; super-administration moves each change into production and keeps the service account key
- Maintain the co-branded template libraries for Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms, in the colours of YouthShare and of each lab and team
- Feed the Data Hub and the Looker Studio dashboards every night
- Design Apps Script add-ons that help the teams, based on needs raised by the Digital Tools Champions
- Write rerunnable scripts that show a preview before any action, with tests and least-privilege scopes
- Document every command and every scope in the administration guide
- Work with the Google Workspace Administrator and with the Back-End Developer, who connects Google to the site’s services
