Almost everything about YouthShare

YouthShare Initiatives offers young people worldwide a space to think together, across borders of country, culture and language. We bring young people from every background together to imagine new possibilities, then bring them to life in our labs, our collective forges. That shaping happens as much through the production of knowledge as through action on the ground. We also offer a space for disagreement, debate, and openness to the world, the future, and a wide range of themes.

This movement was born in October 2023, under the name Youth Experience Sharing. In February 2025, it became YouthShare Initiatives, an association under French law governed by the Act of 1 July 1901.

Every action we run starts with a shared thinking process. Inside our labs, young people from several countries bring their perspectives, their intuitions and their disagreements to the table, before an idea becomes a programme, a brief, or a mobilisation.

That step shapes fair solutions, informed by the diversity of the realities they need to serve. It gives every lab the rigour of shared thinking and the strength of collective action.

YouthShare Initiatives is run day to day by a team of young volunteers, engaged across each of our five labs, alongside mentors who guide young leaders as they build their projects.

Each lab runs its own research and action projects. YouthShare’s permanent collective looks after overall consistency and makes our work known.

YouthShare has brought together young volunteers since October 2023, united around a single conviction: think together before acting together. In every lab, they commit to:

• give every young person a voice, wherever they are in the world;
• pass on knowledge and experience, cultural as much as social, between peers from every background.

Our five labs share the same vision, the same principles, and the same method.

YouthShare Initiatives is an association under French law, governed by the Act of 1 July 1901. Its direction is discussed collectively by members of the permanent collective, who ensure our labs stay consistent with our mission and our philosophy.

Our independence rests on the diversity of our support, on transparent working methods, and on governance open to challenge.

Each of our labs is committed to the same principles. Our work rests on six cardinal convictions: equity, solidarity, integrity, participation, resilience and impact.

Think together, before acting together: that is the thread running through every one of our decisions.
