Method
A short, verifiable chain, from question to source.
Indexing
The site’s public pages are split into citable passages, with their title, author, theme and language. The index is rebuilt with every publication.
Retrieval
A lexical ranking weights titles, authors and subheadings, takes the page being read into account and searches both languages of the site.
Sourced writing
Claude, Anthropic’s model, writes from the passages retrieved. Every statement links to the passage that supports it; external sources carry their domain name.
Safeguards
A defined thematic scope, a closed list of external sources, personal data kept out of the conversation, a capped budget. Beyond the cap, AKILI presents the passages closest to the question.

Frequently asked questions
Which sources does AKILI rely on?
YouthShare’s analyses and public pages first, then, to put a topic in context, a selection of international organisations, public institutes and research journals. Every answer shows its numbered sources.
How do I check an answer?
Each numbered passage links to its source, and the original text remains the reference. To quote in your own work, use the analysis itself.
Which languages does AKILI answer in?
The language of the question, English or French. It searches both versions of the site.
Does AKILI access submissions and applications?
AKILI works exclusively on the site’s public content. Submissions, applications and members’ data stay in the association’s secure spaces.
What data is kept?
For each month, the association keeps the number of questions, the cost of the service and the ratings; for each day, overall counters (next steps offered and followed, offers of help shown, opened or closed). Questions are sent to Anthropic to write the answer. The conversation stays in your browser for the length of your visit. A message sent to the team is kept for twelve months.
How do I follow YouthShare?
Through the YouthShare letter, on LinkedIn and on Facebook. After an answer, AKILI also points you to the page, the lab or the analysis that takes your question further.
How do I reach a member of the team?
Just ask AKILI: it passes your message to the team, with the conversation if you wish, and the reply arrives by email.
