The website and the team’s tools
Digital team
One volunteer role in each team and each lab. Champions form a network led by the Digital Adoption Coordinator; you report to the Head of Digital and Team Tools, who leads the Digital team.
Assignments
- Keep your team’s shared drive in line with YouthShare’s common folder structure, with the Classification label on every document
- Promote the association’s templates and the rule that comes with them: make a copy before each use
- Keep your team’s Google Chat space lively and make good habits stick: Meet calls with captions, a shared Calendar, comments on documents
- Help each new volunteer through their first week, once the Talent team’s welcome is done: account, Drive, Chat, Calendar, first templates
- Apply YouthShare’s principles for safeguarding minors in every one-to-one session: exchanges in the team’s shared spaces, parents informed of their child’s involvement
- Share a short tip every week and offer a slot for the team’s questions, at a time chosen with the team
- Encourage progress on the team’s Classroom courses and flag modules that need updating
- Prepare updates to your team or lab lead’s planning board with them and, when the team is recruiting, help them use the Talent space
- Pass on friction points and ideas to the Digital Adoption Coordinator, and take part in the network’s monthly meeting
Tools to master
- Google Workspace: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Chat, Meet and Calendar
