YouthShare on the ground

Clubs & events team

The Events Project Manager handles the logistics of every event; you handle the technology, for the webinars and online exchanges you help create. A volunteer role in the clubs and events team: you report to the Programmes and Field Lead.

Assignments

  • Set up each session’s technology: Google Meet behind the scenes, live streaming to YouTube through OBS Studio or StreamYard
  • Open registrations through Google Forms, with information on recording, age group and image and voice consent, then send reminders to participants
  • Check each speaker’s sound, picture and connection during the technical rehearsal
  • Switch on live captions and manage the screens during the session
  • Protect young participants: audience off camera by default, and on screen only the people who have given image and voice consent, with a parent’s agreement for every minor
  • Display the lab’s on-screen graphics from the brand video kit: opening, lower third, end card
  • Record in high quality with OBS Studio or StreamYard, with a backup copy, then hand the files and timecodes to the Video Editor
  • Keep a fallback plan ready for every session: a second link, a stand-in host, instructions for the audience
  • Archive recordings and production files in the clubs and events team’s shared drive

Tools to master

  • Google Meet: behind the scenes of each session
  • OBS Studio, or StreamYard on the association’s account: vision mixing, on-screen graphics, recording and live streaming to YouTube
  • Google Forms: registrations and reminders
  • Brand video kit: openings, lower thirds and end cards for each lab

What you will deliver

  • A standard technical sheet, reused for every session
  • Complete recordings, backed up and filed
  • A tested fallback plan

Profile we are looking for

  • Technical confidence with online video and live streaming
  • Calm and quick reactions during a live broadcast
  • Method: checklists followed for every session
  • Open to adults aged eighteen and over
