YouthShare on the ground
Clubs & events team
Clubs and events bring YouthShare to life, in person and online: meet-ups, palavers, talks, lab days.
This role is for you if…
- You talk naturally about the things you care about
- You know where young people in your city meet
- You enjoy putting the right people in touch
Assignments
- Share YouthShare’s open calls in your city or country: volunteer roles, the labs’ research avenues open to authors, events
- Present YouthShare in person at universities, associations and youth venues, using materials from the communication team
- Spread the word about YouthShare clubs and point anyone with a club idea to the clubs and events team
- Invite the people around you to YouthShare events, online and in your city
- Work remotely with the Country Coordinator, who coordinates the YouthShare Ambassadors, and with the City Coordinator, who connects the city’s clubs and leads its events: you spread the word about them
- Carry YouthShare into your city’s networks: associations, schools and universities, cultural venues; your LinkedIn shares join the relay programme run by the LinkedIn Specialist
- Pass on to the clubs and events team the ideas, requests and contacts you gather locally
- Speak about YouthShare accurately, in line with its charter and materials; partnerships and fundraising are prepared with the fundraising and partnerships team
Tools to master
- Canva: visuals for open calls and events, built from YouthShare’s templates
- Microsoft Teams: check-ins with the clubs and events team
- Slack: team alerts

The one-year commitment
A non-profit project is built over time. Every volunteer therefore commits for at least one year: time to settle in, carry the assignment through and pass on what they have learned. The weekly time depends on the role and is given in each role description.
