YouthShare on the ground
Clubs & events team
Clubs and events bring YouthShare to life, in person and online: meet-ups, palavers, talks, lab days.
Assignments
- Connect the YouthShare clubs in your city: joint meet-ups, shared activities, peer support among club leads
- Work remotely with the Country Coordinator, who organises YouthShare’s presence in the country, and with the YouthShare Clubs Coordinator, who follows every club across the network: you act on the ground, in your city
- Bring together and lead the local organising team, including volunteers who help out for a single event
- Lead your city’s in-person events with the Events Project Manager, who keeps the annual calendar and each event’s reverse schedule
- Find venues to host meetings: universities, youth centres, community spaces, libraries
- Prepare every local partnership or fundraising idea with the fundraising and partnerships team
- Apply the common rules for clubs and events: working with minors, image rights, photo credits, accessibility
- Send photos and stories from your city’s meetings to the communication team, for the “In the field” page
Tools to master
- Microsoft Teams: check-ins with the clubs and events team and the club leads

The one-year commitment
A non-profit project is built over time. Every volunteer therefore commits for at least one year: time to settle in, carry the assignment through and pass on what they have learned. The weekly time depends on the role and is given in each role description.
