Voice, networks and visual identity
Communication & social media team
Every webinar and online exchange is published as a full video and as short clips; the channel brings them together with the labs’ videos. This is a volunteer role in the communication and social media team: you report to the Communication Strategy Lead.
Assignments
- Organise the channel: playlists by lab and by series, home page, sections
- Publish full webinar videos with chapters and descriptions in both languages
- Publish the Shorts drawn from sessions, delivered by the Short-Form Video Editor
- Prepare premieres and live streams with the Webinar Technical Producer
- Design thumbnails with the Lab Motion Designer
- Write titles and metadata that help each video get found
- Reply to comments and run the Community tab in YouthShare’s voice
- Review YouTube Studio analytics each month and suggest adjustments to the Communication Strategy Lead
- Protect young participants online: suitable audience settings and moderated comments on videos showing minors, and prompt removal of a video at the request of a person filmed or their parents
A typical week, at your pace
- The week’s videos published, with chapters and descriptions
- Shorts scheduled
- Comments read and replies sent
- A check-in with the Events Project Manager on upcoming sessions
Tools to master
- YouTube Studio: publishing, subtitles, analytics
- Canva: thumbnails and banners
- Google Sheets: the publishing calendar
- Google Drive: videos ready to publish
Profile we are looking for
