Voice, networks and visual identity
Communication & social media team
The Visual Content Designer (Canva) looks after still visuals; you take charge of motion, for the webinars and online exchanges you help create as well as for the labs’ videos. This is a volunteer role in the communication and social media team: you report to the Communication Strategy Lead.
Assignments
- Animate the visual identity of each lab and team: co-branding blocks, emblems and palettes, always alongside the YouthShare logo
- Create the openings, transitions, lower thirds and end cards for webinars and lab videos
- Extend the brand video kit lab by lab, and keep its files up to date
- Animate data stories with the Data Visualisation Designer: one sourced figure, one chart, one idea
- Prepare ready-to-use templates for the Short-Form Video Editor and the YouTube Specialist
- Design animated thumbnails and speaker visuals with the Speaker Relations Officer
- Favour gentle, accessible motion that respects reduced-motion settings
- Document every template: use, formats, typefaces and colours
Tools to master
- After Effects or DaVinci Resolve (Fusion): animation and compositing
- Canva: brand kits and simple animations
- Figma: preparing graphic elements
- Lottie: lightweight animations for the web
- Brand video kit: the starting point for every package
What you will deliver
- A complete animated package for each lab
- A library of motion templates in Drive
- Animated data stories for analyses and reports
Profile we are looking for
- Motion graphics practice and a portfolio to show
- Respect for brand guidelines, applied with finesse
- An eye for detail: rhythm, typography, colour
- Open to adults aged eighteen and over
