Voice, networks and visual identity
Communication & social media team
The social media specialists run their accounts, write their scripts, and film and publish their own formats; you produce the clips drawn from long recordings: webinars and online exchanges, podcast episodes, lab videos. This is a volunteer role in the communication and social media team: you report to the Communication Strategy Lead.
Assignments
- Spot the strongest moments in each recording, starting from the timecodes noted by the host or the technical producer
- Edit vertical clips that grab attention in the first seconds, with one clear idea and a crisp ending
- Burn in readable subtitles, checked with the Subtitler and Video Translator
- Apply the lab’s identity using the Lab Motion Designer’s templates
- Deliver clips to the TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook specialists and to the YouTube Specialist, who publish them on their networks
- Prepare video clips of podcast episodes with the Podcast Producer
- Check, for each clip, the image and voice consent of every person filmed, and a parent’s agreement for every minor
- Keep the clip library in Drive and review each video’s retention with the specialists
Tools to master
- DaVinci Resolve: vertical editing, burnt-in subtitles and export
- Descript, on the association’s account: finding passages from the transcript
- Canva: templates in each lab’s colours
- Google Drive: the clip library
How we measure success
- Every webinar turned into clips within the following week
- Clips watched to the end
Profile we are looking for
- Regular practice of vertical video editing
- A feel for hooks and pacing
- Faithfulness to what the people filmed actually said
- Reliability with deadlines
- Open to adults aged eighteen and over
