Talent & volunteer life team

You report to the Volunteer Recruitment Lead, who leads the Talent team, and work day to day with the Volunteer Experience Lead.

Assignments

  • Keep the association’s Google Classroom programme current with the leads, in both languages: “YouthShare 101 · Welcome”, a course for each team and lab, and “Leading at YouthShare” for leads
  • Track progress on courses and quizzes, send friendly reminders and give the Talent team a monthly update for each team
  • Build pathways for each family of roles (research, communication, technical, coordination), from the first month to the end of the year
  • Bring the training videos into the courses, from scripts already written, with the Video Editor and the Subtitler and Video Translator
  • Offer each volunteer a self-assessment of their skills at the start and end of their year, to inform their certificate; each person keeps control of their results, and the Talent team reads aggregate figures for each team
  • Prepare the modules for new roles: hosting webinars and online exchanges, and the Digital Tools Champions network
  • Design a pathway certificate with the Volunteer Experience Lead, awarded at the end of the year
  • Coordinate training with the Clubs and Volunteers Trainer, who runs the live sessions, and with the AI team, which provides training on Claude and ChatGPT

Tools to master

  • Google Classroom: courses, modules, assignments and quizzes
  • Google Forms: quizzes and skills self-assessment
  • Google Sheets and Looker Studio: tracking progress, team by team
  • Google Drive: training resources and videos
  • Gemini: first drafts of questions, every item reviewed

Your first three months

First month
Getting to know the current courses, meeting the leads and the Talent team, a picture of progress in each team
Second month
A first pathway for each family of roles and the first videos in place
Third month
Skills self-assessment up and running and a first review presented to the Talent team

Profile we are looking for

  • Experience designing courses, tutoring, training or instructional design
  • Rigour in follow-up and clear writing in both languages

  • Open to adults aged eighteen and over

The one-year commitment

A non-profit project is built over time. Every volunteer therefore commits for at least one year: time to settle in, carry the assignment through and pass on what they have learned. The weekly time depends on the role and is given in each role description.

How selection works

  1. Online application

You choose a role, present your background and attach your CV. A confirmation email gives you your reference.

  2. Profile review

The Talent team reads every application, matches it with the needs of the role and sends you a first reply by email within three days on average.

  3. Video interview

A conversation to get to know each other and shape the assignment together.

  4. Decision and arrival

You receive our answer by email, followed by a welcome to the team and access to its tools.
