Fundraising & partnerships team

A volunteer role in the fundraising and partnerships team: you report to the Grants and Fundraising Lead. The Institutional and International Relations Officer follows relations with international organisations; you take on cooperation programmes and their consortia. Every commitment is signed by the presidency; you prepare its text and follow-up.

Assignments

  • Map the cooperation programmes open to youth organisations: Erasmus+ Youth, the European Solidarity Corps, the youth programmes of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, the African Union and the Commonwealth, and development agencies
  • Identify each programme’s conditions, timetable and expected partners, and present them to the lab leads
  • Build consortia with youth organisations abroad: partner searches, first conversations, letters of intent
  • Design cooperation projects with the labs (youth exchanges, joint research, training), following YouthShare’s rules for minors: insurance, parents’ agreement
  • Work with the Grants and Fundraising Lead, who chooses the calls to target, and with the Grant Writer, who writes the applications
  • Prepare cooperation agreements with the Head of Partnerships and Institutional Relations, who leads the negotiation; the presidency signs them
  • Keep each partner organisation’s record and the history of exchanges in Salesforce
  • Keep every cooperation alive: regular check-ins, reviews, new ideas

Tools to master

  • Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud: organisations, contacts and history of exchanges
  • Programme portals: Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps, La Francophonie, the African Union
  • Google Workspace: the team’s shared drive and Docs, with Meet and Calendar for remote meetings
  • Claude or ChatGPT: reading calls and drafting first summaries, with every result checked by you

Your first three months

First month
Meeting the lab leads and the fundraising and partnerships team, a map of cooperation programmes
Second month
A list of potential partner youth organisations, programme by programme
Third month
A first cooperation project ready to submit with a lab
