Fundraising & partnerships team

The Head of Partnerships & Institutional Relations leads YouthShare’s relationships with international organisations and institutions, and entrusts you with their day-to-day follow-up. The Advocacy and Public Policy Lead decides what YouthShare says at each speaking engagement; you prepare the setting: contacts, registrations, practical arrangements and follow-up.

Assignments

  • Support the Head of Partnerships & Institutional Relations, to whom you report, in their dealings with international organisations and institutions
  • Keep each institution’s record in Salesforce: contacts, exchanges, next steps
  • Prepare every meeting: a note on the institution and its youth programmes, the people attending, past exchanges, points to raise
  • Draft letters and presentations of YouthShare tailored to each institution, in English and French
  • Handle the practical side of speaking engagements: registrations, accreditations, contact with organisers, a practical briefing for speakers. The substance (positions and key arguments) belongs to the Advocacy and Public Policy Lead
  • Follow up after every meeting: thanks, minutes, commitments made, passed on to the Head of Partnerships
  • Pass on to the Advocacy and Public Policy Lead the consultations and calls for input that come up in exchanges with institutions
  • Give the Website and Lab News Officer the details of each speaking engagement for the “In the field” page: date, place, speakers, credited photos

Tools to master

  • Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud: institutions, contacts and history of exchanges
  • Microsoft 365: letters, briefing notes and meetings on Teams
  • Claude: preparing notes on institutions, with every piece of information checked at source
  • Canva: presentations of YouthShare

What you will deliver

  • A briefing note for every meeting
  • Presentations of YouthShare in English and French, tailored to each kind of institution
  • A practical briefing pack for every speaking engagement
  • Up-to-date Salesforce records for every institution followed

Profile we are looking for

  • A keen interest in international relations and institutions
  • Polished writing, at ease with formal correspondence
  • Organisation, reliability and an eye for detail
  • Discretion and a sense of protocol

The one-year commitment

A non-profit project is built over time. Every volunteer therefore commits for at least one year: time to settle in, carry the assignment through and pass on what they have learned. The weekly time depends on the role and is given in each role description.
