Resources, partners and supporters
Fundraising & partnerships team
The roles that give the labs their resources: grants, donations, corporate giving and partnerships.
Assignments
- Identify companies and corporate foundations whose commitments match the labs’ themes, and track them in Salesforce
- Present the corporate giving formats set out on the Partnerships page: sponsorship of projects and labs, and skills-based sponsorship, for which you work with the teams to list the expertise they need (reviewing, data, design, law, communications, translation)
- Draft clear sponsorship proposals with the lab leads: the project supported, its needs, timeline and reporting
- Prepare each sponsorship agreement with the Head of Partnerships & Institutional Relations, who leads negotiations with the Board, and with the Legal Affairs Officer
- Make sure, with the Accounting Officer, that every company receives the tax receipt for its gift
- Show corporate supporters what their support makes possible: reviews, project updates, invitations to events
- Refer companies that wish to engage directly with young people (club meet-ups, job discovery, work shadowing, placements) to The New Forge Lab’s Employer Relations Officer
- Remind every sponsor of YouthShare’s editorial independence: the editorial board alone decides what is published. Name a company once it has agreed

A non-profit project is built over time. Every volunteer therefore commits for at least one year: time to settle in, carry the assignment through and pass on what they have learned. The weekly time depends on the role and is given in each role description.
