Voice, networks and visual identity

Communication & social media team

On LinkedIn, YouthShare speaks to partners, funders, institutions and young graduates. The page carries our analyses, open calls and achievements. Your job: make it a credible, human and well-followed reference.

This role is for you if…

  • You can turn a dense analysis into a post that makes people click “see more”
  • You know what separates a post that makes noise from one that builds relationships
  • You love useful networking: the right person, the right message, at the right time
  • Well-built PDF carousels are your playground

Assignments

  • Run YouthShare’s LinkedIn page and its publishing calendar
  • Turn each published analysis into a post, a PDF carousel or an article
  • Launch and edit a LinkedIn newsletter featuring the best of our labs
  • Ghostwrite first-person posts for lab leads who want them, with their approval
  • Showcase contributors and volunteers, with their consent
  • Share open roles, events and calls for partners
  • Run an ambassador programme: the team shares content from their own profiles
  • Read the page analytics and turn them into concrete monthly recommendations

Tools to master

  • Page administration: roles, posts, pinning, My Company tab
  • Page analytics: followers, visitors, performance, demographics
  • Newsletters, Events and LinkedIn Live: sharing analyses and meetings
  • Canva: PDF carousels and post visuals
  • Buffer, Hootsuite or Metricool: scheduling and reports
  • Advanced search or Sales Navigator: partner mapping

Your first three months

  • Month 1: page audit, benchmark of five similar organisations, new editorial line
  • Month 2: launch of the LinkedIn newsletter and a carousel for every published analysis
  • Month 3: ambassador programme with the team and a first results report

Accounts that inspire us

  • Our World in Data: serious data, told simply
  • World Economic Forum: short formats on big issues
  • Ashoka: young changemakers, showcased with care

How we measure success

  • Qualified followers: partners, institutions, young graduates
  • A newsletter that gets read and shared
  • Applications and partnerships coming from LinkedIn

Profile we are looking for

  • You know LinkedIn, its formats and its professional conventions
  • Your writing is confident: a clear analysis in a few lines
  • You have a flair for networking and institutional relations
  • You read analytics and aim for results

A volunteer role, open to young people

Every role here is voluntary. The experience we ask for can come from a class, a side project, an account you started, a club or an internship: it all counts. These roles are made for young people, and we look at your drive and potential as much as your CV. Want to be part of something big? Go for it and apply.

Nice to have

  • Comms experience for a non-profit, a company or an institution
  • You write as well in English as in French
  • An active, well-followed LinkedIn profile

What this role gives you

  • LinkedIn strategy experience for an international organisation
  • A wider network among YouthShare’s partners and institutions
  • Quantified results that will stand out on your CV

Applications open until 15 January 2027

YouthShare reserves the right to close this listing before that date, as soon as the right person is found. So go ahead and apply now.

The one-year commitment

A non-profit project is built over time. Every volunteer therefore commits for at least one year: time to settle in, carry the assignment through and pass on what they have learned. The weekly time depends on the role and is shown on each role page.

How selection works

  1. Online application

You choose a role, present your background and attach your CV. A confirmation email gives you your reference.

  2. Profile review

The Talent team reads every application and matches it with the needs of the role.

  3. Video interview

A conversation to get to know each other and shape the assignment together.

  4. Decision and arrival

You receive our answer by email, then your welcome into the team and your first access.
